Not that I am racing in this but thought it a good idea to have a run around the route.
Start the day with a latte and a bacon & egg roll at More, just like old times. Then to Glenridding and off on the trail. It is a relatively easy route, up to Greenside Mines on the track and back down the valley on the path to the South. Up to Lanty's Tarn, a great little place to visit, then a big loop up Grisedale. Slight change on the way back, head back over to Lanty's Tarn to avoid the road.
Coffee back at the car very welcome. Good weather, a bit breezy in places but dry and, at times, bright.
