An odd days holiday to use up and I could do with a leisurely day. I head over to Hartsop and run along the valley before a gradual ascent to Boredale Hause; then onto Place Fell, have not been on this fell for years. Good running across the top and then drop down to Ullswater and follow the shore path back to Patterdale and then reverse outward route to Hartsop.
Quick drink in the Hawkshead Brewery on the way home - a good day out.
