After a wet and miserable start the weather improves, as forecast, and it is a great evening.
I join other HH runners on Leg 3 of the IHR (Hartsop / Angle Tarn / Patterdale), a cooler evening but the wind has dropped and the views are stunning. A twisted ankle is a concern and we take it cautiously, particularly on the rough descent to Patterdale. A pleasant run along tracks and paths leads us back to Hartsop as light begins to fade.
Coffee and cakes go down well.
