Craig and I set-off early for a quick run around Fairfield. The rain starts as we arrive in Rydal and the cloud is down. This does not deter us and we head up into the gloom. Not too windy though and we make good progress to Fairfield.
It is good to have company and Craig and I chat as we run along. The summits pass quickly and the rain goes un-noticed. We are soon heading down out of the cloud and back to the car. Just over two hours, not bad given it felt steady.
Into Ambleside for tea and a bacon & egg bun - good stuff.
Need to head home, take Barney for walk on Helm (he is reluctant) and then need to get prepared for my BG support role tonight, more on this later.
