My Achilles just keeps niggling way and has down for years. I need to get this sorted and head to see a Physio who has been recommended to me.
I sort of know this is coming, he tells me to lay off running for a minimum of 3 months, maybe more, otherwise I risk it getting a whole lot worse and maybe even snapping..."it's a bit like an elastic band that has been stretched and stretched, there's no elasticity left" !!!
I listen to what he says, he knows his stuff and has been through it himself - I am left with no choice.
And just for added fun, he inflicts more pain on me than I think I've ever endured !
