I'm now running the leg with Jonny, so we head over to Hartsop to recce the leg together. The weather is fowl there, Kirkstone Pass seems to be the watershed, dry and bright to the South, low cloud and wet to the North.
A steady run along the valley and then even steadier to Boredale Hause. It's rough from there to Angle Tarn but route finding and route choice are good. Then a short climb and cut right to the top of the ghyll. We eventually decide on a plan and are soon running down the track back to Hartsop.
A worthwhile trip out.
