FRA Relay Recce and Training - Wednesday 15th October 2014

A cool, breezy day and time for one last look around the fells above Middleton. We park at the official start and follow the flags through the fields to the open fell. We locate the control marker by the fallen tree and then the hard work begins.

A big pull up to CP 2 and then easier running to the Calf; steady downhill from there, past the stone cairn and down to the control marker at the path junction. We try different routes from there to the fell gate, not much in it and we suspect that the main path may well be flagged on race day.

Steady back to car and then into Kirkby Lonsdale for brunch at Plato's.

Later, head to training. We spend some of the session on a strengthening routine and then to the Castle for a shorter, but no easier, session.
