After the wintry weather yesterday, the day has been good and an evening run is very appealing.
I head over to Ambleside and park 'under Loughrigg'. Head out on the race route, first to Loughrigg summit (good training / recce for next week's Loughrigg race) and then across Red Bank to Silver Howe. There is a cold wind blowing but the views are fantastic.
Had not expected to get this far but very glad that I did. Head back the same way, over Loughrigg and straight back down, missing out Lilly Tarn, to the car; then a welcome coffee, it is a cold night.
