Scar Run - Thursday 21st February 2019
Head out just after dark for a run on the Scar, feel surprisingly strong.
Training - Wednesday 20th February 2019
A short run out along the river and canal at 5 with KA and then to training, soaked both times.
Circuits & Spin - Tuesday 19th February 2019
Another hard one-to-one circuit session and then Pilates in the evening.

Coniston Race Route - Sunday 17th February 2019
Looks can be deceiving, a bright mild start to the day at home but by half way up Wetherlam I’m in the mist, it’s cold, windy and at times wet :-(. But on I go following the race route. I don’t get the exact line from the summit but I do lower down. Not fast but strong on the climbs.
Park (Run) & Ride - Saturday 16th February 2019
An early start and to Whinlatter for Park Run; this is a toughie, especially with a damaged hamstring, maybe that’s explains the slow time; but glad I went, came 10th.
Then from Keswick, after breakfast, a ride through Portinscale Stair and over Newlands Pass to Buttermere, back via Lorton, Whinlatter Pass, Braithwaite and Portinscale. About 32k and plenty of climb.
River / canal run - Thursday 14th February 2019
Head out at lunch, a glorious day. Usual loop from the office, out along river, back along canal.

Training - Wednesday 13th February 2019
4 timed laps of Aynam Road, 1 mile loops. I’m pleased with my consistency, something like: 6:29 / 6:24 / 6:22 / 6:26.
Training - Monday 11th February 2019
Well not been here for a while; I can’t say I enjoyed it but it must be good for my fitness and speed.
Howgill Trail Race Route - Sunday 10th February 2019
A better day, at least not as windy now that (storm) Erik has passed. KA and I head out on the Howgill Half Marathon trail race route; all goes well on the run but we the have to settle for pies form the Spar as the Three Hares was closed......very disappointing !
Not Carnethy - Saturday 9th February 2019
We decide against Carnethy, more than one reason but not least because there was a threat of it being cancelled. Instead KA and I head over to Ambleside for a run over Loughrigg, into Grasmere, to White Moss and back over to Todd Crag and Lily tarn; about 10 miles.
Training - Wednesday 6th February 2019
An away fixture, we head out from Staveley for a run over Brunt Knott and Potter Fell.
Glove search and training session - Sunday 3rd February 2019
Back to Rydal in search of the gloves, but no luck ! That will cost me !!
Then to Skelwith Bridge for a training session, sprints to Elterwater and back, then a late breakfast in Ambleside.
Fairfield Horseshoe - Saturday 2nd February 2019
A beautiful winters day, spoilt only by the loss of KA’s gloves ! Fairfield and the Lake at their best.
Castle Reps - Wednesday 30th January 2019
KA and I do our own training session, a mixture of reps on the Castle, at least 8 times to the top of the hill !
Swim & Turbo - Sunday 27th January 2019
A cold and windy day; out for an early swim and then 30 min session on turbo trainer.
